Give a life saving diabetes medical alert bracelet to a child @CHOP

Requested by Tressa, Endocrinology, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, a $5 bracelet could save a life

Give a medical alert bracelet to a child with new onset diabetes from a low-income family. This is a very important safety precaution…but not covered by insurance

Children with insulin dependent diabetes should be wearing medical alert bracelets at all times should they need medical care. For low income families diabetic alert bracelets can be an additional cost to care. With your support we will be able to provide medic alert bracelets to patient’s admitted for new onset diabetes, due to their inability to purchase them in a limited time, and as a safety precaution once patient is discharged. Insurance companies do not cover these life-saving bracelets because they are not viewed as a necessary medication or a required medical device.
